London 2012 in the Midlands Conference

We discretely entered the conference from the side doors as everyone silently watched our promotional video, little did they know they were about to experience a LIVE performance and workshop! Just as the music faded on the video, we livened up the room with our energetic walk in using the loud Dhol drums. Surprised faces all around, but slowly everyone started to clap with the beat, many shoulders started bouncing up and down as everyone prepared themselves to share this experience with the Dance Sansaar team. They then cheered and clapped as we did a short and lively traditional routine accompanied by the Dhols which were being played by Harvi and Anil. A small group of youngsters who entered just after us seemed to be enjoying themselves as they gave it their all when Jag delivered a workshop on 5 basic Lawk Naach movements. Off came the blazers and together everyone was standing up, dancing away and having a great time! We would like to say a big thank you to Naomi from Dancing for the Games for inviting us and to everyone in that room as you ALL got up and took part, it was a great pleasure working with you all!
